rewell brunch in Scottsdale, and left for California to visit Alex's Uncle Jason and Aunt Patty. We are only going to be there for the weekend, but we hope that there will be lots of adventures for Stanley.
Stanley found a super cool car parked next to us. It was bright yellow and had skulls painted all over the sides. Stanley decided he wanted to ride in that car instead of our Honda, but we talked him out of it. Besides, the people who owned the car did not like the way Stanley kept getting his fingerprints all over the shiny paint.

We crossed a time zone when we got the California. That means that the time here is 2 hours earlier than at home in Minnesota. It is very confusing, but Mr. Knaus will explain it to you. :)
The entire trip to California was 386 miles and took about 6 1/2 hours. Most of the driving was through the desert. It was very dry and lonely looking. In some places you could drive for 30 minutes or more without seeing any people or houses.
